Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma to be Revealed at GDC in March

Kotaro Uchikoshi has announced via Facebook that Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma will be showcased during the Game Developers Conference in mid-March. Zero Time Dilemma is the final installment in the Zero Escape series, a trilogy of visual novels with a twist. Facing life-and-death situations, the games’ characters must solve complex puzzles in order to survive and the games follow a non-linear means of storytelling through time travel and a very deep mythology. The game is coming out this summer and GDC will be the first peak we will have of the title, which is being published by Aksys Games. It will be coming out for both the Playstation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS systems.

I will visit San Francisco for unveiling presentation about ZTD to during GDC next month. If you are a press or writer,…

The finale almost didn’t come to fruition, as the games sold poorly in Japan because they were too violent. In fact, Uchikoshi had to town down the second volume in the series to try to improve sales. The first two installments did so well in the west though that the series was able to get a proper conclusion to the franchise, which we at Gamer Professionals are very excited for. Who is “?”, the mysterious being who takes over Kyle’s body at the end of Virtue’s Last Reward? What happened at the Mars Test Facility and the outbreak of Radical 9? How can Sigma both save the future yet the timeline at the end of Virtue’s Last Reward remains the same? Hopefully all these answers, including Sigma’s prosthetics shown at the end of the second title, will be explained in this highly anticipated conclusion to this very unique franchise.
