Matt Vince Creates Three Zelda Movie Posters in the Style of Hayao Miyazaki

Fans have been asking for a legitimate adaptation of The Legend of Zelda to the big screen or the small screen for quite some time now (note: the 80s cartoon doesn’t count). Artist Matt Vince has made this wish seem like a reality, creating three spectacular theatrical posters for The Legend of Zelda based off of the style of renowned Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, featuring three of the series’ most poignant characters: Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. It’s almost fitting in a sense that they are done in the style of Miyazaki, because when I first saw the original trailer for Skyward Sword I could see Miyazaki’s influence, as one of my favorite films is Castle in the Sky, which shares a lot in common with Zelda’s last original console entry. To the point though, these posters are incredibly well crafted and hopefully they can help inspire a future animated film series of some sort, or even a plain old animated series. Zelda is one series that both deserves it and can be done right.
