Bethesda has announced details about Fallout 4, from its launch to beyond. There are a number of features that will be included with the game that will optimize the best possible playing experience for the people who matter most, the players.
The game will be receiving updates on a regular basis, similar to how Bethesda handled Skyrim. These will not simply be patches, but will include brand new features as well. These updates will be free of charge, and Bethesda states that they will work with the community to see what “they want to see” in Fallout 4’s future.
Fallout 4 will be utilizing mods, allowing players to take place in the creation process of the game, similarly to what Bethesda has done with their previous titles. Early next year, Bethesda will be releasing the Creation Kit free of charge on PC, which is the very same tool that the developer uses in-house. Not only will you be able to create your own mods, but you will be able to share them with others as well. Bethesda also mentions that these mods will also be coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4.
In typical Bethesda fashion, Fallout 4 will be receiving downloadable content. They will be offering a season pass for just $30 for every piece of DLC they ever develop for the title, stating that the actual value of the content they plan to release will be at least $40 in value. The downloadable content for Fallout 4 will begin coming early next year.
